  • Praystation Portable-Catholic Liturgy of the Hours
    Praystation Por

This is an excellent podcast that I find convenient to use during my morning wake-up routine. I prefer it to the LOH podcasts with music, because this podcast is more reliable to access, and because I find the music to interfere with my prayer and to draw attention to itself.
  • Azad Karachi Radio
    Dishonest and Unreliable

On Jan 1, 2009, The presenters of the podcasts kept denying that there is any reliable evidence that the terrorists who attacked Mumbai came from Pakistan and that India was merely playing a political game. There are multiple sources of evidence that the terrorists were Pakistanis, were trained in Pakistan by known terror organizations, AND were communicating with leaders of those organizations while Mumbai was under siege. This so called Azad (independent) Karachi podcast is nothing but a source of disinformation and Pakistani "apologists."

    What a Blessing We Pray

I pray the hours in the morning and evening now with this now, It is a great tool to use to pray with and for the Church. As a layperson It is refreshing to pray along with instead of by myself... I do pray at the appropriate hour and as well I use it as a guide when I pray at morning Mass with the Passionist sisters in our area. Very much a blessing to pray with you. God Bless You.

Everyone WANTS to be "kind". But becoming a truly kind person takes effort. Actually, it's a finely cultivated art. JewishWorldReview.com presents an English-language adaptation of the Holy Tongue bestseller, Ahavas Chesed. Its author, Rabbi Yisroel Meir Kagan, known as the "Chofetz Chaim", was one of the most influential rabbis of the first third of the 20th Century. Given his penetrating insight into human nature, the sage's teachings are timeless. Those who incorporate them into their daily lives will find themselves -- and those they interact with -- elevated. (details...)

The vision of Roots of Faith Ministries is to inspire Christians to live a more Biblically authentic lifestyle. Two New Testament passages contain the seedbed for putting this vision into action (Acts 15:21 and I John 2:6). In Acts 15:21, James (the brother of Jesus) says that Moses of old hath them which preach him every Sabbath in the synagogue. In the time of Jesus and Paul, a portion of the Law of Moses (Genesis – Deuteronomy) was read every Sabbath in the synagogue along with an associated section from the Prophets. Jesus and Paul participated in these weekly readings. (See for example Luke 4:14-21, Acts 13:13-15 and Acts 15:21). Each week, Ross Nichols preaches Moses every Sabbath in the synagogue (See Acts 15:21). The Sabbath service consists of an introduction to the weekly lesson, a recitation of the Shema, weekly readings from the Law of Moses and the prophets, followed by an exciting and informative lesson, meant to illustrate and illuminate the texts of the Bible by exploring the historical, linguistic and cultural setting in which they were written. Relevant New Testament texts and topics are covered each week opening the Scriptures for the student (See Luke 24:27, 44-45). In I John 2:6, its says that if we abide in Christ, we ought also to walk, even as he (Jesus) walked. It is common for Christians to use the popular expression, What would Jesus do? To be a Christian is to imitate Christ, and yet few Christians truly know how to walk as he did. This ministry seeks to make that ancient way known to believers and thus to encourage Christians to live a more Biblically authentic lifestyle - one which is based upon the Bible that Jesus read.
